The school of Krav Maga in Chatel-St-Denis was founded on 31st August, 2005 by two fans of this discipline: Yannick Arcelin (black belt 2nd dan) and José Orellana (black belt 1st dan).
The school was immediately affiliated to the Swiss Krav Maga Federation which, in turn, is subordinate to the European Krav Maga Federation
(FSKM), Yannick and José provide dynamic and complete courses, blending both the technical and physical aspects of this discipline with a spirit of seriousness and friendliness. Consequently the school acquired a lot of motivated students. In June, 2007, Yannick Arcelin left the school to establish his own Krav Maga club in Yverdon. José Orellana took over the management of the school in Châtel-St-Denis and, in view of the increasing demand in the region, he opened a new course in Vuadens on 1st September, 2007.

Following new guidelines from the Federation, the two schools of Châtel-St-Denis and Vuadens then took on the Krav Maga club structure.
